Spring’s an exciting time in Colorado and we’ve compiled a calendar of events and celebrations to welcome in the new season. Have fun in the sun skiing in March, and celebrate the best of food and wine in Denver and Vail. Head for the annual short film festival in Aspen in April, visit Denver Auto Show and join the close of season celebrations at Steamboat Springs. In May a words fest awaits in the mountains at Crested Butte and the Outside Festival ends the month in Denver.

Wine Festival of Colorado Springs
March 4-7, 2026, Colorado Springs

Aspen Film Shortsfest

April 9-12, 2026, Boulder

22nd Annual: Welcoming movie lovers from around the world, BIFF  brings films, emerging film-makers, actors, directors to Boulder and Longmont. Impressive mix of local, national, and international films, together with music, food, and more.

Surfside Spring Jam
March 19-29, 2026, Aspen Snowmass

26th Annual: Events kick off at the Wheeler Opera House with the NEPSA Awards, honoring local and regional photo and film submissions. Then the  action shifts to Snowmass for part one of the Mountain Challenge—the Fat Bike Slalom Race—then  to Buttermilk for the Halfpipe Rodeo and golden-hour sunset skiing.

Denver Auto Show
April 17 -20, 2025, Denver

17h Annual: Wheels for everyone at this premier showcase of the newest import and domestic vehicles  – cars, vans, crossovers, hybrids, light trucks, sport utilities for every budget and lifestyle. Also sneak peeks at new concepts, and cars of the future.

Mountainfilm in Telluride

46th Annual: Inspiration to create a better world through film, art and ideas is the philosophy behind  Mountainfilm. Features independent documentary films, speaker series focusing on contemporary issues, social justice, and activism. Also art and photography exhibits.

Mountain Words Festival
May 22-25 ,2025, Crested Butte
