The People

Kim Grant: Founder

kim [at] slowdownseemore.com

Slow Down, See More is the consequence of everything that Kim has undertaken. The ethos of SDSM also reflects how she travels now.

She’s written upwards of 45 guidebooks, including  Explorer’s Guide Cape Cod (the region’s best-seller), for most major publishers — more for Lonely Planet if anyone’s counting. She is also a photojournalist represented by Getty Images and was a founding photographer for Lonely Planet Images.

Kim probably knows or has worked directly with, more travel writers than anyone else on the planet. She draws on those connections at TravMedia as Global Media Liaison.

As Acquisitions Editor for Countryman Press, she expanded their revered Explorer’s Guide and Great Destinations titles. As Chief Content Officer with Sutro Media, Kim guided more than 450 authors to create travel apps on the best-in-class platform. Kim brings all that expertise to Slow Down See More.

Kim divides her time between Northern New Mexico and Southern California.
