Experience the spirit of Hawai’i through exhibitions, events and performances this Summer.

Celebrate the beautiful culture and tastes of the islands with music and festivals, film and craft. In June enjoy Taste of Hawai’i on Kaua’i, King Kamehameha’s celebrations on O’ahu, film, wine and food and the Slack Key guitar festival on Maui. In July celebrate Tahitian dance, and in August head for Made in Hawai’i’s marketplace for local produce and crafts, then O’ahu’s Banana Festival.

Taste of Hawaiʻi
June 7, 2026, Kaua’i

32nd Annual: The Taste of Hawaii is the original food and wine tasting event for the islands and on Kaua’i, featuring more than 25 chefs, beverage vendors, entertainment, and a silent auction. Produced by the Rotary Club of Kapaa and countless community volunteers.

King Kamehameha Celebration & Floral Parade
June 11-13, 2026, Big Island and O’ahu

109h Annual: Statewide public holiday celebration honoring King Kamehameha I. Events include the Kohala Lei Draping Ceremony, spectacular floral parades with traditional Pāʻū horseback riders, and a concluding Hoʻolauleʻa (community block party).

Wailuku Film Festival
June 17-21, 2026, Maui

1st Annual: This inaugural festival replaces the Maui Film Festival as part of Wailuku’s transformation as a federally funded, designated arts hub. Festival screenings will take place at the historic Iao Theater, MAPA’s new Naylor Theater, and other unique spaces throughout town.

Kapalua Wine & Food Festival
June 25-28, 2026, Maui

45th Annual: Premier epicurean event bringing together world-class chefs, winemakers, and culinary enthusiasts for tastings and seminars. Celebrity chefs include Maneet Chauhan, Antonia Lofaso and the Voltaggio Brothers, alongside Maui’s most beloved restaurants and local purveyors.

Ki Hoʻalu (Slack Key) Guitar Festival 
June  28, 2026, Maui

35th Annual: One of Maui’s longest-running music traditions, this free concert features some of Hawai’i’s top slack-key guitar and ukulele players. This year’s lineup includes be Jeff Peterson, Bobby Moderow, Kevin Brown, Anthony Pfluke, Darrell Aquino, Piilani Arias, Ryder Briley, Namaka Cosma, Shem Kahawai, Kamuela Kahoan, Dwight Kanae, Kahiau Lam Ho, and Micah Lau.

Tahiti Fete Hawai’i
July 3-5, 2026, Honolulu

This Tahitian dance competition comes to Honolulu for the first time, celebrating the culture and stories of the Tahitian people. The festival also showcases traditional Tahitian dance, drumming, crafts, Polynesian food, and workshops.

Made in Hawai’i
August 20 -22, 2026, Big Island

32nd Annual: Produced by Hawaiian Airlines, this massive indoor marketplace connects thousands of residents and visitors with Hawaiʻi’s most innovative producers, artisans, and food and beverage companies. Features hundreds of local vendors, crafters, artisans, and food producers.

Ka Maiʻa Hoʻolauleʻa Banana Festival
August 30, 2026, O’ahu

5th Annual: Family-friendly festival organized by Slow Food Oʻahu, celebrating Hawai’ian many banana varieties through tastings, cultural education, and youth activities. Includes a banana cook-off and T-shirt and tote banana fiber printing. 

Waikīkī Ho‘olaule‘a
September 19, 2026, Kaua’i

Looking ahead to Autumn, Aloha Festivals hosts Hawai‘i’s largest block party on Kalākaua Avenue with booths showcasing Hawai‘i cuisine, crafts and culture. Taste the best of local flavors from around the island in one place, and peruse artisan-made crafts. Multiple stages rock the evening featuring top local artists, award-winning hālau hula, and more.
