Experience the vibrant culture of Hawai’i’s Big Island through a series of exciting events this Fall.

The calendar includes the 11th Annual Powwow in September, paying homage to local traditions, and the women’s VinFast Ironman World Championship in October. Also enjoy festivals dedicated to music, film, food, wine, and the rich traditions of coffee growing at the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival in November.

Hawai’i All Nations Powwow
September 13-14, 2025, Keaau, Big Island

11th Annual: Features native drums, intertribal dancing, Hawaiian protocols, Hawaiian food, and native crafts.

VinFast Ironman World Championships
October 11, 2025, Kailua-Kona, Big Island

This year the VinFast IRONMAN World Championship is the women’s event, hosting qualifying triathletes from all over the world to test their stamina over the challenging 140.6-mile course, including through the ocean and across lava fields. (In 2026, Ironman plans to return to its roots with men and women will race together on the same day.)

Hawai’i Food & Wine Festival
October 17-18, 2025, Big Island

15th Annual: Culinary indulgence with Michelin-starred chefs, winemakers, and mixologists showcasing their talents across indigenous and world cuisines. Featuring ingredients from Hawai’i’s ranchers, fishermen, framers and producers.

Kona Coffee Cultural Festival
November 7-16, 2025, Kona, Big Island

54th Annual: Tastings, farm tours, and parades are just the beginning as the Big Island celebrates its famous Kona coffee growing  traditions and heritage of nearly 200 years.

Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival 
November 16, 2025, Kailua Kona, Big Island

28th Annual: This indigenous guitar art form originated on Hawai’i island in 1832 and this year 12-15 of Hawai’is favorite players will perform in the ballroom of the Outrigger Kona Resort & Spa. Also  a food truck outside, and Big Island snacks and desserts.
