Experience the spirit of Hawai’i through exhibitions, events and performances this Spring.

Celebrate the beautiful culture of the islands through dance and song with hula performances from February at the Volcano Arts Centre and at Kuhio Beach Hula Mound. Find locals arts and crafts in Kauai, and music at the Kona Steel Guitar Festival on the Big Island. The 29th Honolulu Festival in March emphasises harmony through the Pacific Rim, while the Big Island Chocolate Festival in April tempts with all things chocolate.

Hula Arts at Kilauea
February 8 – June 14, 2025, Big Island

Catch Hula Kahiko performances and other arts and traditions of hula at the Volcano Art Center on the Kilauea volcano in a program of events promoting and perpetuating Native Hawaiian arts and culture. Free live hula performances on the second Saturday of the month.

Waikiki by Moonlight
February 10 – June 16, 2025, Oahu

Held at the Kuhio Beach Hula Mound, this production features traditional mele and hula performances, celebrating the Waikiki ahupua’a—a region cherished in many moolelo (stories) and historical accounts. Also, crafts, enetrtainemnt, snacks, and tasting plates at no more than $7.00.

Beach House Craft Fair
February 16 – April 13, 2025, Kaua’i

Monthly (2nd or 3rd Sunday) craft fair on Kauai’s southside in Poipu. Over 40 vendors offer quality handcrafted items including a wide variety of Kauai keepsakes, clothing, jewelry, photographs, paintings, and traditional Hawaiian crafts. Yes and snacks, too!

2025 Kona Steel Guitar Festival
February 27 – March 1, 2025, Big Island

3rd Annual: Featuring steel guitar masters Alan Akaka, Billy Cardine, Ken Emerson, Bobby Ingano, Colin John, Mālie Lyman, Patti Maxine, Devin Nakahara, Dwight Tokumoto, and Geronimo “Geri” Valdriz. NextGen steel guitarists Isabella Bertelmann, Makamae Lyu-Napoleon, and Enosa Lyman will also perform.

Mahina ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi
March 1, 2025, Kaua’i

Celebrating Mahina ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian Language Month) across Hawaiʻi, with a range of activities including casual conversations, shopping, dining, entertainment, games, and competitions.

Honolulu Festival
March 7-9, 2025, Honolulu

29th Annual: Premier cultural event promoting mutual understanding, economic cooperation and ethnic harmony between the people of Hawaii and the Pacific Rim region. Craft fairs and the Japanese Film Festival feature among activities sponsored by the Honolulu Festival Foundation, showcasing the rich and vibrant blend of Asia, Pacific and Hawaiian cultures.

Big Island Chocolate Festival
April 10 -12, 2025, Big Island

12th Annual: Chocolate-lovers indulge in ‘Cirque de Chocolate-A Whimsical World of Chocolate Wonders’,  with culinary demonstrations, cacao growing and processing seminars by industry experts, a farm tour and a festive evening gala with walkabout savory and sweet culinary booths, chocolate fountain, entertainment.

Maui Marathon & Half Marathon
April 27, 2025, Maui

Presented by The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, all events will start and finish in Ka’anapali from the exact location as in the past, in front of the Outrigger Ka’anapali Beach Resort. The new Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K course will be an out-and-back on the Honoapiilani Hwy (Route 30). The 5K will remain the same.

Kaua’i Songwriters Music Festival
May 16 – 17, 2025 Kaua’i

4th Annual: two days of workshops for songwriters, ending with a concert open to the general public on Saturday May 17th. World renowned songwriters, producers, and performers from Hawaii and the Mainland are scheduled for the event.
